Painting

This month I decided to play with watercolors a little bit. I started with some simple stuff and plan to experiment more with it in the near future. I started with a very simple painting of a lava lamp with watercolor. Later I added some pen details and even some acrylics (silver) which I came to regret as I think it does not look good with the reddish color of the rest of the painting. Still, some other colors of acrylic possibly look good when combined with watercolor so I am looking forward to experimenting some more soon.

Activity

Skiing

This month I have once again gone skiing but this time in Kronplatz in Italy. Last time my friend went with my family so this time I went with my friend's family. I have grown up skiing in Italy so returning to the slopes similar to what I always skid on made me really happy and it was very fun as well. When compared to Rogla where we went last time this ski resort is incomparable. The slopes are much longer and much wider which makes them really enjoyable. There is also a really big selection of paths ranging from blue ones to black ones which are always the biggest challenge making them the most fun ones. Somewhere close to where we had been skiing there is a connection to another ski spot called Sella Ronda which is the ski circuit around the Sella group in Northern Italy.

The Sella massif lies between the four Ladin valleys of Badia, Gherdëina, Fascia, and Fodom and is divided between the provinces of South Tyrol, Trentino, and Belluno which you can ski a circle around. Apart from the path is even under UNESCO's protection for its natural beauty. Unfortunately, we hadn't had a chance to ski the Sella Ronda but it definitely became a part of my bucket list and I hope I will have the chance to ski it soon.

Tutoring my little brother

This month I have been helping my little brother to study. He had been feeling really stressed and overwhelmed by the number of materials they have received in geography class so I decided to help him. When he can't remember something he sometimes gets pretty frustrated and wants to give up but he has been doing pretty well and learning that when he doesn't understand something from the first time, he should calmly and actively go through the material again until he does. The work resulted in a really good grade from his oral exam which makes me really happy.
