Photography

This month I wanted to continue with photography. This is a picture of the beach I took when I went on a trip with my friends to Biograd na Moru. Unfortunately, I didn't bring a camera on the trip so I was using my phone to take the pictures. Unlike I thought, the pictures turned out pretty good and I'm overall pretty happy with them.

Swimming

I spent most of July at the seaside so instead of running, I took on mostly swimming. My friends and I wanted to see how far we could swim out so we decided to take a longer route each day. Overall it was really fun, we would even race sometimes and the last one to the finish would have to do the dishes that day so it made the whole experience that much better.

Helping my uncle with a geology project

This month I helped my uncle with a project he was doing with his college colleagues. We collected thermal water in Varaždinske Toplice and checked how much radon it contained. Radon is a gas that forms with the decay of radium (formed from the radioactive decay of uranium). It causes lung cancer and is potentially a big problem if present in drinking water. We left each bottle of water to sit longer and longer before testing to see the rate radium decays to radon.
